TRANSFORM

ABOUT ME

I am always in the search of quicker, better and more effective ways of doing things. Whether it is the functional effectiveness of my legal and tax clients, donor management charities I volunteer with, time with my family, or hacking my own life, for me the means are as important as the ends but I like it when they don't take as long.

I am a partner at PwC Canada, focused on the operating model design and digital enablement and transformation of my clients' legal and tax departments. I am also an active volunteer in the community and have served various boards. A political junky, a policy wonk, Saudi-born of Pakistani ancestry, a proud Canadian and a devout Muslim, I live in Mississauga, Canada with my wife and three kids.

About

LEAD WITH PRAGMATISM

“Junaid's combination of technology, business acumen, and tax is unique and an asset to his clients. [H]e assisted in SCM and robotics implementation which resulted in significant process efficiencies and cost savings, ultimately adding value for the organization. Junaid's pragmatic solution to issues and problems is also very well appreciated. I'm looking forward to working with him on the next project!”

How Can

I Help?

LEGAL AND Tax Transformation

Whether you have decided to transform your legal or tax function, or are just curious about where to start, I would be happy to have a conversation with you to see how my team at PwC Canada and I can help you. I have seen how much time tax functions spend on the mundane and the repetitive that the technology can take away, freeing up time for you to spend it where it matters the most for you.

Volunteering and Board Governance

I have experience serving on a number of not-for-profit boards and believe that strong corporate governance is critically important for a not-for-profit organization to build trust in society and be as impactful as it can be. If you serve on a board and are interested in having a conversation on governance and donor management, I would love to grab a coffee with you and have a chat.

Career Coaching

I was fortunate to benefit from a number of amazing coaches throughout my career, and these coaches and mentors continue to enrich my career. I believe in paying it forward and would love to help those that I can. I can't help everyone, but I think I might be able to offer some assistance to a small group of people. If you fit into any of the following categories, it would be my privilege to have a conversation with you:

  • A mid-career professional in a Big 4 firm wondering whether to 'stick it out' or leave for industry

  • A recent immigrant to Canada with experience in finance, especially Big 4 professional services firms

  • A young professional who is a visible minority and/or a religious minority trying to figure out how you fit
